1. Neputa, the epitome of summer in Aomori Prefecture. Experience making a lantern by reusing neputa paintings that were actually used at the festival. Look forward to creating your own one-of-a-kind neputa lantern! As the lanterns are USB-powered, feel free to take them home as a souvenir of your trip to Japan.
2. First, visit Nebuta Museum Wa Rasse, a facility for cultural and tourism exchange in Aomori City, to learn all about nebuta. While the festival is held within Aomori Prefecture, the shape and size of the nebuta (or neputa) varies depending on the region in the prefecture. Here, large nebuta floats that were actually used in the Aomori Nebuta Festival are on permanent display. Customers will surely be fascinated by the vivid colors of Aomori's nebuta floats.
