1. This captivating day tour takes customers to must-see spots in Yamagata Prefecture: Yama-dera, officially called Hojusan Risshaku-ji Temple, and Ginzan Onsen. The tour is accompanied by a National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter.
2. Established in the year 860, Yama-dera (Hojusan Risshaku-ji Temple) is the setting for poems of Matsuo Basho, Japan's most famous poet in the Edo period. It is gaining popularity as a sightseeing spot where visitors can relish the scenery after climbing 1,015 stone steps. Located near the mountain trailhead, Konpon Chudo is a temple hall that's said to be Japan's oldest structure made of beech wood. It is a designated important cultural property.
3. Feel as if you've traveled back in time amidst the retro scenery of Ginzan Onsen, a hot spring town where a nostalgic Japanese atmosphere lingers in the air. It has about 500 years of history, discovered by mine workers at Nobesawa Ginzan which flourished as a large silver mine during the early Edo period (1603-1868). With cafes, spots to eat around, and souvenir shops within walking distance, taking a stroll will surely be enjoyable.
4. Sustainable Tourism:
This tour promotes Environment(Eco)-friendly efforts and Cross-cultural Understanding as stated under Sunrise Tours' Sustainable Development Goals.
This is a carbon offset product where a portion of the tour booking charge is spent on renewable energy. By converting CO2 emissions during the tour to green energy, it's possible to contribute to activities protecting the planet's future.
