  • Tour Details
1. With a long history of over 1,500 years, sumo is considered as Japan's national sport, and is an inherent part of the country's tradition. This tour includes a ticket to the Grand Sumo Tournament, allowing customers to experience the thrill of watching powerful sumo wrestlers compete against each other. Don't miss the first tournament at IG Arena which newly opens in the summer of 2025!
2. A National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter knowledgeable about professional sumo wrestling will accompany customers to the venue. Beginners and sumo fans alike will surely gain a deeper insight into professional sumo wrestling as customers will be watching the sumo bouts while listening to explanations from the National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter through an audio earphone guide.
3. 3rd floor S-class chair seating will be provided.
4. This plan includes round-trip Shinkansen transportation. Reserved seats are provided for both outbound and return trips, allowing customers from Tokyo to freely join the tour as a day trip with peace of mind. After the tour ends, customers on this plan can enjoy sightseeing around Nagoya on their own (expenses shouldered by customers) until the designated Shinkansen departure time.
5. All tour participants will receive "The Sumo," a booklet about sumo (in English); and Banzuke-hyo, a table of rankings, as a gift! Feel free to use it while watching.
