1. The original vests of the Nakameguro Mura Beautification Committee brighten the city, motivate participants, and attract attention!

2. Feel free to say hi to local residents while picking up trash. Take this valuable opportunity to get in touch with Japanese culture by picking up trash and warmly interact with the locals. Participants may also hear about the city's history from long-time residents.

3. Feel like a detective as you keenly observe what kind of trash, such as cigarette butts and plastic bottles, are mostly found in the Nakameguro area. Uncover Japan's trash and other finds unique to Nakameguro!

4. Seeing the city clean refreshes the heart and brings a sense of accomplishment. Feel the joy of participating in an activity to protect the beautiful streets of Japan!

5. Please do take photos of yourselves wearing the vests and enjoying the cleanup activity, as well as before & after photos, including the city cleaned up. Sharing this wonderful activity on social media can reach people from all over the world and create unforgettable memories of your trip to Japan.

6. After the clean-up, please enjoy interacting with the local community. Such encounters will surely make for wonderful memories of the trip. While picking up trash, participants are also encouraged to drop by cafes and shops that strike their fancy.

7.A portion of the tour booking charge will be donated to the Nakameguro Mura Beautification Committee, which will be used for local cleanup and beautification activities.

[About Nakameguro Mura Beautification Committee]
Cleanup activity in Nakameguro began in 2018 with the aim of protecting the environment and building a local community in order to address the worsening garbage problem as a result of the area becoming a sightseeing attraction. The Nakameguro Mura Beautification Committee, led by underwater photographer Masa Michishiro, was established by calling on neighborhood companies. They conduct the activity twice a month, and have continued to do so over 280 times to date. This activity not only contributes to the beautification of the city, but also serves as an occasion for local residents and business people of all ages to interact and socialize. The committee's initiatives have been highly acclaimed, including being awarded the Meguro Eco-Challenge Award in 2022. In the future, the committee aims to build an international community by involving visitors from overseas.
