  • The experience of making Iwakuni sushi [Photo for illustrative purposes only]

  • Kikko Park [Photo for illustrative purposes only]

  • Kashiwabara Art Museum [Photo for illustrative purposes only]

  • Murashige Sake Brewery[Photo for illustrative purposes only]

  • Tour Details
1. Visit Iwakuni, a city of great cultural value where samurai residences and traditional streetscapes still remain, together with an accompanying National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter.

2. Visit a brewery making Japanese sake using underground water from the Nishiki River. Take a special tour of a sake brewery that is not normally open to the public, and enjoy tasting Japanese sake as well.

3. For lunch, customers will experience making Iwakuni sushi, a regional specialty. Look forward to actually making traditional cuisine and feel the depth of the region's food culture.
*Iwakuni Sushi: Unlike the usual hand-pressed sushi, Iwakuni sushi is made by pressing it into a mold.

4. Visit the Kintai Bridge, one of Japan's 3 most famous bridges. Built using traditional timber-frame techniques without the use of a single nail, the bridge is a true culmination of Japanese craftsmanship and is beautiful from every angle. Cross the bridge and feel the ingenuity and warmth of the wooden material with every step. Delight in an exceptional view of the Nishiki River from the bridge.

5. Experience the essence of Iwakuni's samurai culture at the Kashiwabara Art Museum. Behold a wonderful collection of samurai swords, armor, and helmets. Get an up-close look at important cultural properties that embody the pride and aesthetic sense of the samurai.

6. Visit Kikko Park, where a variety of flowers bloom throughout the seasons. Located on the bank of the Nishiki River, the park is surrounded by lush greenery and clear streams, allowing visitors to feel refreshed and forget the hustle and bustle of the city. Fully enjoy nature while taking a break and a leisurely stroll.
