  • Tour Details
1. This 1-day tour visits Dazaifu, a city that enshrines Tenjin, a god that has been deeply rooted in the daily life of the Japanese since ancient times; as well as Yanagawa, which retains the atmosphere from the Edo period (1603-1868).

2. Dazaifu Tenmangu is a shrine dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, known as the god of learning, culture, and the arts. It is the head shrine of over 12,000 Tenmangu shrines in Japan, and is popular as a spot where beautiful nature and traditional Japanese culture come together.

3. Enjoy a river cruise aboard a small "donko" boat operated by an experienced boatman through the canals of Yanagawa, the "city of water" famous for its waterways that have existed since the Edo period (1603-1868). On this tour, look forward to a charter boat where customers can enjoy Japanese-style teatime.

4. Yanagawa Ohana is a valuable facility that retains the dignity and beauty of a feudal lord's residence from the Edo period (1603-1868), and allows visitors to experience the samurai culture of the past. In addition, the tour will visit Tachibana Museum, which houses valuable items including a national treasure sword.
