  • Tour Details
1. A half-day walking tour of Nagasaki, a city where the history and culture of the West, East, and Japan intersect, by streetcar and on foot. With the Shinkansen, it takes about an hour and a half from Fukuoka to Nagasaki by train, so even customers staying in Fukuoka can easily join this half-day tour!

2. Visit the Nagasaki Confucius Shrine dedicated to the Chinese thinker Confucius. This is the only authentic Chinese-style mausoleum in Japan, symbolizing the history of cultural exchange in Nagasaki, which served as the only window of trade during Japan's isolation period.

3. Next, take a stroll around Glover Garden, an open-air museum featuring relocated and restored historical buildings, including Western-style buildings, that were once scattered throughout Nagasaki City. After Japan opened its doors to the world, Nagasaki was one of the first cities to adopt Western culture, and developed as an international trade city. Glover Garden was registered as a World Heritage Site as part of the Sites of Japan's Meiji Industrial Revolution.

4. The tour ends with a walk through Nagasaki Peace Park, which was built in memory of the victims of the atomic bomb and to pray for world peace. This park is a symbol of Nagasaki's contribution to world peace, and continues to pass on to future generations the strong message of Nagasaki—peaceful coexistence between different cultures and nations.
*Admission to the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum is not included in the tour. Those who would like may visit after the tour ends at Nagasaki Peace Park.
