1. With well-drained soil made of volcanic ash from Sakurajima and the Kirishima Mountains, rich seas including Kinko Bay, and a history as an important maritime trade hub through which various cultures from around the world have been introduced, Kagoshima is a land where a unique and rich food culture has been nurtured. Go on a tour tracing the natural and cultural roots of Kagoshima, which gave birth to this food culture.

2. From the city, board a ferry to Sakurajima, the symbol of Kagoshima. From the boat, behold the majestic Sakurajima rising over the tranquil Kinko Bay.

3. Visit a field that uses a regional circular farming method that utilizes the natural environment at the foot of Sakurajima, and enjoy sweets made from crops harvested from the field while listening to stories from farmers.

4. Visit a distillery that makes shochu, a specialty of Kagoshima, and experience blending an original shochu. A distilled alcoholic beverage unique to Japan, shochu features a unique aroma. Customers can freely take home their own original shochu blended to their liking as a souvenir of the trip.

5. On the way back to Kagoshima City, the tour will visit a shop selling Satsuma ware pottery. Enjoy the world of Japanese pottery that brings out the best of food.

6. This is a private tour where a charter vehicle is provided for each group of customers.

- If the minimum number of participants (2) is not met by 4 days before the scheduled date, the tour on that date may be canceled.

- The last reception day (reservation deadline) is 14 days prior to the tour.

- If the tour is canceled, customers will be notified by the conducting company or their travel agent.

- The itinerary displayed on the booking screen is the final itinerary.

- Please note that participants may not join partway through the tour. Also, participants may join only from the meeting location specified in advance.

- While transportation will be by private vehicle for each group, each experience included in the itinerary may be shared with other customers.

- The order of activities and arrival times may differ on the day depending on reasons such as road conditions and congestion at destinations.

- The experience activity in Farmland Sakurajima may be held in the indoor cafe on the premises due to reasons such as inclement weather.

- Please note that credit cards are not accepted for payment at Tarumizu Roadside Station where you will stop for your free lunch. Be sure to bring cash with you.

- Shochu made by customers during the shochu blending experience may be taken home in a 720 ml bottle per person. Please be aware that restrictions on bringing alcoholic beverages vary by country.

- Customers under 20 years of age cannot join the shochu blending experience.

- A tour of the Ryumonji pottery studio is not included. Only the adjacent shop will be visited.

Farmland Sakurajima is a rare farm located at the foot of an active volcano. On this tour, sit on the field with a magnificent view of Sakurajima towering right before your eyes and enjoy sweets made with field-grown crops while listening to stories from farmers.

Shochu, produced in the blessed nature of Kagoshima, is one Japan's most popular distilled beverages. At Wakashio Distillery, after a tour of the distillery where shochu is actually made, customers can enjoy a shochu blending experience where they can mix various shochu according to their own taste to create their own original shochu. Shochu that customers blended can be taken home in a bottle.

Kagoshima is famous for its Satsuma ware pottery. There are two types: Shiromon (White Satsuma), which is primarily used for ornaments and figurines, and Kuromon (Black Satsuma), which is often used for items such as sake utensils for drinking shochu and other beverages. Ryumonjiyaki is a school of Satsuma ware that continues the tradition of Kuromon.
