1. On this 7-day course of the Kyushu Authentic Route, take the Shinkansen to Fukuoka, Kumamoto, and Kagoshima, places with magnificent nature as well as rich history and culture. Embark on a journey to experience the richness of real Japan through nature, tradition, history, and food culture.

2. On Day 2, in the afternoon, customers will be guided on a walking tour around Hakata Old Town. Having flourished through trade with the Asian Continent since long ago, Hakata continued to develop mainly from its shrines and temples, with diverse customs, traditions, and food cultures spreading out to various regions of Japan. Explore the old town of Hakata, where such traditional Japanese culture thrives, together with an English-speaking guide interpreter.

3. On Day 3, after a Shinkansen ride from Fukuoka to Kumamoto, the tour includes unguided half-day sightseeing in Kumamoto City.

4. On Day 4, an English-speaking guide interpreter will take customers around Aso, Kumamoto's iconic sightseeing spot. Explore Kusasenrigahama, Daikanbo, and Nabegataki Falls, and be immersed in the grandeur of nature that has been preserved through generations around Mt. Aso, the emblem of Kumamoto, known as the "Land of Fire."

5. On Day 5, after a Shinkansen ride from Kumamoto to Kagoshima, the tour includes unguided half-day sightseeing in Kagoshima City.

6. On Day 6, experience the food culture of Kagoshima nurtured by the rich natural environment. With transfers by ferry and hired car, the tour will be guided by an English-speaking guide interpreter to a place where customers can interact with farmers who grow traditional vegetables utilizing geographical features, and to a shochu distillery in Kagoshima for a shochu blending experience.

This temple's five-story pagoda is cherished by the locals as a new symbol of Hakata. The Fukuoka Daibutsu (Great Buddha) in the temple grounds is Japan’s biggest wooden seated statue of Gautama Buddha. This cypress wood statue is 10.8 meters tall and weighs 30 tons. In the pedestal of the Gautama Buddha statue lies The Hell and Pure Land Tour which signifies "experience the world of the dead, return back to life, and let go of impurities and worries." Kusasenrigahama (Kusasenri Plain) / Mt. Aso Nakadake Crater

Among the Five Peaks of Aso, the tour will visit the crater of Mt. Nakadake, which is still very active to this day. Afterwards, stroll around Kusasenri, a vast grassland approximately 780,000 sqm at an altitude of about 1,100 m. This is one of Aso's most scenic spots, with the majestic Mt. Nakadake and beautiful grassland spreading out before your eyes. Look forward to relishing the scenery of the season. At the Mt. Aso Visitor Center next to Kusasenri, customers can learn about the flora and fauna that inhabit Aso as well as volcanic activity. *Access to the Mt. Visit Daikanbo, an observatory offering a 360-degree panoramic view of magnificent nature. The observation deck located at an altitude of about 900 m showcases superb views of the Aso townscape, the Five Peaks of Aso, and the Kuju Mountains, making it one of Kumamoto's best lookout points. It is also famous for the view of the Five Peaks of Aso resembling a sleeping Buddha. *It takes about 10 minutes to walk uphill from the parking lot to the observation deck.

Nabegataki Falls

The tour will visit Nabegataki Falls, which is said to have been created by the massive eruption that created the Aso caldera about 90,000 years ago. The waterfall took many years to form into its current shape, and it's still changing shape little by little as a result of repeated erosion. The waterfall has a drop of 10 m and a width of 20 m, and the water flowing like a curtain gives it a truly mystical beauty that makes it a popular photo spot. *From the parking lot to the falls, customers will walk about 20 minutes round-trip along the pathway in Nabegataki Park.

Shochu Distillery Tour & Blending Experience (Wakashio Distillery)

Kagoshima is known as the kingdom of shochu, with over 100 breweries and more than 2,000 brands in the prefecture. Shochu, produced in the blessed nature of Kagoshima, is one of Japan's most popular distilled beverages. At Wakashio Distillery, after a tour of the distillery where shochu is actually made, customers can enjoy a shochu blending experience where they can mix various shochu according to their own taste to create their own original shochu. Shochu that customers blended can be taken home in a bottle.

At the end of this culinary tour of Kagoshima, visit a direct sales shop of a pottery studio where tableware that goes well with food is made. Kagoshima is famous for its Satsuma ware pottery. There are two types: Shiromon (White Satsuma), which is primarily used for ornaments and figurines, and Kuromon (Black Satsuma), which is often used for items such as sake utensils for drinking shochu and other beverages. Tocho-ji Temple

This temple's five-story pagoda is cherished by the locals as a new symbol of Hakata. The Fukuoka Daibutsu (Great Buddha) in the temple grounds is Japan’s biggest wooden seated statue of Gautama Buddha. This cypress wood statue is 10.8 meters tall and weighs 30 tons. In the pedestal of the Gautama Buddha statue lies The Hell and Pure Land Tour which signifies "experience the world of the dead, return back to life, and let go of impurities and worries." Kusasenrigahama (Kusasenri Plain) / Mt. Aso Nakadake Crater

Among the Five Peaks of Aso, the tour will visit the crater of Mt. Nakadake, which is still very active to this day. Afterwards, stroll around Kusasenri, a vast grassland approximately 780,000 sqm at an altitude of about 1,100 m. This is one of Aso's most scenic spots, with the majestic Mt. Nakadake and beautiful grassland spreading out before your eyes. Look forward to relishing the scenery of the season. At the Mt. Aso Visitor Center next to Kusasenri, customers can learn about the flora and fauna that inhabit Aso as well as volcanic activity. *Access to the Mt. Aso Nakadake Crater is subject to weather conditions on the day. If the viewing area is closed to the public, the crater tour will not take place and instead, the tour will visit the Volcano Museum.

Visit Daikanbo, an observatory offering a 360-degree panoramic view of magnificent nature. The observation deck located at an altitude of about 900 m showcases superb views of the Aso townscape, the Five Peaks of Aso, and the Kuju Mountains, making it one of Kumamoto's best lookout points. It is also famous for the view of the Five Peaks of Aso resembling a sleeping Buddha. *It takes about 10 minutes to walk uphill from the parking lot to the observation deck.

Nabegataki Falls

The tour will visit Nabegataki Falls, which is said to have been created by the massive eruption that created the Aso caldera about 90,000 years ago. Farmland Sakurajima Field

Shochu Distillery Tour & Blending Experience (Wakashio Distillery)

Kagoshima is known as the kingdom of shochu, with over 100 breweries and more than 2,000 brands in the prefecture. Shochu, produced in the blessed nature of Kagoshima, is one of Japan's most popular distilled beverages. At Wakashio Distillery, after a tour of the distillery where shochu is actually made, customers can enjoy a shochu blending experience where they can mix various shochu according to their own taste to create their own original shochu. Shochu that customers blended can be taken home in a bottle.

Stop at Ryumonjiyaki Pottery Shop

At the end of this culinary tour of Kagoshima, visit a direct sales shop of a pottery studio where tableware that goes well with food is made. Kagoshima is famous for its Satsuma ware pottery. There are two types: Shiromon (White Satsuma), which is primarily used for ornaments and figurines, and Kuromon (Black Satsuma), which is often used for items such as sake utensils for drinking shochu and other beverages. Ryumonjiyaki is a school of Satsuma ware that continues the tradition of Kuromon. *Touring the pottery studio is not included. Only the shop next to the pottery studio will be visited.
